District around Central Station to become safer.
The Hessian Ministry for Internal Affairs and the
city of Frankfurt have announced new security measures tor the district next to the Central Station to be launched
today in Frankfurt. According to the Minister for the Interior,
Boris Rhein (CDU, centre-right), and Frankfurt’s Head of the Security Department, Volker
Stein (FDP, liberal), different projects of the Hessian police and the Frankfurt city administration are going to be
introduced. Only last Thursday, a man had been shot in the red light district
next to the Central Station. The cause for the shooting is supposed to be a local dispute.
On Monday, the police still wasn't able to present a suspect.
