Frankfurt is the city of bats. At least that is what manager of the environmental department Klaus Hoppe says. He informed that 14 out of 17 bat-species which live within the Hesse region can also be found in the city. The inhabitants can be satisfied with this amount as one bat can eat 4,000 mosquitoes in a night.
