Chocolate rabbit dispute The German Federal Court (BGH) has reversed a judgement of the Supreme State Court in Frankfurt in the ongoing dispute about the famous golden-wrapped chocolate rabbits from the confectioner Lindt&Sprüngli. The Swiss confectioner had accused the Bavarian sweetmeat shop Riegelein of breaching trademark rights by creating a rabbit very similar to their own. The Frankfurt court had accorded the claim.
After the verdict of the Federal Court, the case is back in Frankfurt for a next round. This is the second time that the Federal Court has heard the issue.
